    Thank you for this video and your body of research. Growing up, I knew if 2 young people who died of cirrhosis of the liver. This condition always scared me. Recently, I was diagnosed with an inflamed and fatty liver. It brought the terrir home. I am not a drinker. I have a pretty healthu diet as a pescatarian. I didn't understand what was going on. I used to follow a sugar free diet but allowed the occassional dessert to creep in. Thank you for giving me an attack plan❤

    They NEED to teach this in diabetic classes because they're not teaching this. They're giving the very opposite of this info that Dr Fung is teaching, and then they give more meds and blame the patients for not following their advice because the patients keep getting worse. That's not right. Many patients ARE following their doctor and dietitian advice. I really hate the phrase doctors give of "watch your diet"....and EXACTLY WHAT DOES THAT MEAN ?!?!

    Dr Jason Fung mentioned not doing it alone in his videoes, and I applause him for that because he's realistic. the way food is connected with the social aspect.. and changing your diet while everyone else is eating all the time will end up making you feel alienated. and that's exactly my problem. I'm 20 years old my weight is above average but I desperately need the fat percentage in my body to go down. If anyone is reading this and is interested in talking with me to bond over our fitness goals I'd be happy :].. ps I'm trans n nonbinary

    The Obesity Code and The Diabetes Code should be pulled from the shelves. Eating simple sugars in itself doesn't cause weight gain. Nor does changing the form of a starch cause weight loss. Overeating is what causes the weight gain. At least he's posting fewer videos. Somebody had probably complained about him to the board he's licensed with.

    I've been eating around 30 grams of salt from himalayan pink salt and sea salt a day and eating about 600g of smoked mackerel a week for nearly a year, since I had seizures that were triggered by hyponatremia (low sodium/salt) which was a side effect of an anti-seizure medication. I've been tested 3 times since eating so much salt and my serum sodium has been 143mmol/l and 142mmol/l twice (Normal range = 133 -146 according to my lab reports) My blood pressure was already good for years and since I started eating the extra salt it's got better when recovering during high intensity and endurance exercise

Was doing good but last night, about 10:30, I became very hungry and ate a few small rice crackers and a piece of cheese. Although as of this morning, I’ve lost 4 lbs. Is it okay that I gave into my fast? If apI hadn’t I wouldn’t have been able to sleep.

    So let's say I have 200.000 calories stored in my body fat. Why can I not then go 30 days without eating, without getting headaches. without feeling lethargic.     Summary: So practically calories in calories out is a valid theory, the only problem is if you only eat donuts you are going to mess up your hormones, even though you might be losing weight in the process. Eat proteins, fats and fibre if you want to stay healthy. Carbs are OK, too, but not too much (especially refined sugars).

    I started OMAD back in the early 90s before it had a name, but slowly got away from it. I wish I kept at it but did do periodic long fasts almost every year since then. I have found it much easier to do a total fast than fasting mimicking.
